هیچ یادت هست که زمین را عطش وحشی سوخت؟

Do you remember  how the earth burned in a wild thirst?

برگ ها پژمردند...تشنگی با جگر خاک چه کرد؟

How leaves faded… how thirst burned the liver of earth?

هیچ یادت هست توی تاریکی شب های بلند، سیلی سرما با تاک چه کرد؟

Do you remember in long dark nights, what the whips of cold wind did to the vine?

با سر و سینه ی گل های سپید، نیمه شب باد غضبناک چه کرد؟هیچ یادت هست؟

Do you remember to the breasts of white flowers? what the violent wind did at midnight?

حالیا معجزه ی باران را باور کن و سخاوت را در چشم چمن زار ببین

Lo, believe the miracle of rain and see generosity in the eyes of meads

و محبت را در روح نسیم که در این کوچه تنگ

And love in the soul of breeze in these narrow lanes

با همین دست تهی ... روز میلاد اقاقی ها را جشن میگیرد !

With empty hands…is celebrating the birth of acacias!

خاک، جان یافته است تو چرا سنگ شدی؟

The earth has come to life again why are you sitting like stone?

تو چرا این همه دلتنگ شدی؟

Why are you so sad and unhappy?

باز کن پنجره ها را

Open the windows

و بهاران را باور کن.

And believe the springs..
